Blood's more necessary than petrol/gas............ (tonight's wine, a Coonawarra Riesling, from where Reds are unsurpassed......) :| Did I say "more necessary"?

aprox 6.60$ for a gallon of diesel here in norway, good thing my skoda station wagon gets about 60mpg. DSG gear box is awesome.

How much is gas in Norway :?: DSG is that a VW gear box :?: we have a DSG in a Jetta TDI its a blast to drive especially down long hills feels like a manual transmission 8-)

Yeah Skoda is owned by VAG who owns VW, so much of the same components and same base as a VW. My Car is more or less the same as a VW golf wagon, just different exterior and interior.

Gas is aprox 6.95 to 7.44$ a Gallon. i think about 60% is taxes, gastations even sell at a loss on petrol and make it up on selling different goods and food items, or so ive heard.

i knew i was becoming a grownup when i was more interested in MPG than MPH.

In 1972 it cost me $1.13 to fill up a H2 (17 litre) tank from empty, now a ZX10r tank, same size, $23.00

At 16 years of age, (1969) when I used to fill up my G3SS, the local station sold regular gas for "3 gallons for a buck" .
Thats even what the sign out front read....

Now its "a gallon for 3 bucks" and the prices are rising again.

When I see the prices overseas and in Canada, it almost makes me feel the American business model is not all that bad after all.

Still sucks though. . .
