Unfortunately YES! I've been coming here for 17 Years and the last Two winters have been the coldest ever, to the point where lake Michigan on the "bay" (Between the peninsulas) has frozen over deep enough to drive over! Last winter at my location, west of Traverse City was brutal with 44 FEET of snow! This winter has been a little bit kinder but colder! The ice disappeared off the bays last Friday with a heavy thunderstorm, it then snowed on Saturday! This week has been in the 50's and it's supposed to hit 70 today! . . . . . And then Snow again next Wednesday! . . . It's getting very old now . . . . I remember the first Snow was on Halloween

Barry, I read more about the plane. It seems Quantas bought six 747-400ER planes 15 years ago, and those were the only ones ever made. I guess that's why pilots don't see them... they hardly exist. After the flights I had in a 747, I got interested in them and started following the improvements over the years. I was waiting to see if the maximum takeoff weight ever hit a million pounds.

Jim thanks !!! I had never heard that before.I knew there were 747-400 freighters but not once had I ever heard anybody call the 744 anything but a 747-400 !!! Thanks for the info !!!
