I'm looking for the oil tank side cover knob mount that screws to the bottom of the cover with 2 screws. It doesn't need to be mint, just usable. Somehow the previous owner cracked one of the screw mounts off of mine...

It's spot welded on, isn't it?

I had my battery cover's spot welds come loose this year. I got back to the cover no more that 10 minutes after it fell off, but true to the rule, it had already been run over. The sucker is TIG welded all around now, but needs a bit of body work.

Came close to loosing mine, I had nice paint on the covers so did not want to weld it. Used a rivet to re-attach - they ain't coming off now.

For knobs I went to the local hardware store and found some really nice black ones for about 6 bucks. I had to re-tap the bungs on the frame to match the threads but works great and looks better!

Hmm, good to know. I'm guessing the previous owner drilled and screwed mine on, didn't use the rubber mount and subsequently broke it. I checked Reproduction Decals and didn't find the re pops. Where can I get these (R.B.)?
