 Post subject: VM 28 carbs

Hi all
i went out for a short 5 miles ride to test out the new crank.
about 3 miles into the ride came to a stop light went to take off the bike fall flat on it's face i hade to ring it's neck to get going i made it home let the bike cool off and checked the carb caps and the middle one was loose.I am looking for a way to help keep the caps tight on these carbs i was thinking clear silicone.

Do you have the rubber gaskets in the caps?

Yes, check for those, and there is no need for goop if the tops are tight and have the gasket.

I've never had a carb top unscrew itself, strange.
