Great carbs on the RGV. I use them on my H1.

Worked on the RGV this weekend and now have the front brakes working. Acid washed the tank and added some fuel and rode around the neighborhood.
Bike runs pretty good and the power valves seem to work. Once you hit 7,000 it really wakes up. Feels a lot like our 89 FZR400 but much lighter.
Soon as I can get the CHP inspection done and the title process started it will come apart. Bike deserves a complete restoration and it will get it.

I got a set of lower fairings from a member here, thanks John. They are in great shape but have the 92 paint scheme, but painting the bodywork anyway.
Bike is a hoot to ride, just about 100lbs less then the FZR400  Starting the title process tomorrow at my local CHP, then to the DMV Tuesday.
If all goes well I will have titles coming for both the H2 and the RGV250.

Looking good Ron! Any kinks hooking up the fairings?

Title update on the RGV and the 72 H2. I started the title process on the H2 last Oct. I bought the frame on ebay with Oregon lien papers, never again.
Took five trips to the DMV and many phone calls. Ending up with about a 1/4" stack a paperwork but was finally successful yesterday and have plates.
They have to title it as salvage/reconstruction but I told them from the start it doesn't matter. This is a bike I am building from left over parts but
will be a keeper. Going to get everything out of all the boxes and make a finally parts list. Time to finally make the trip to the powder coaters. Bottom
of motor has been assembled for 3 months just setting on my bench. Will have to check and make sure it fits the frame with the Suzuki rubber mounts
installed.

As for the RGV title, went to the DMV first on Tuesday and was told I needed another reg form (124). For some reason they didn't want the reg 31
witch is the chp verification and the reg 124 is the form for getting a dmv 17 digit vin plate. Made another appointment with the DMV but was not going to be
till April 13th. Decided yesterday to go to a different DMV office and was there for 4hrs :wtf: When I finally got up to the window I explained the situation
on both bikes and told them Sacramento headquarters told me to call them from there if I had any problems. That may be why they finally titled the H2, don't
know for sure. After the H2, the fun began with the RGV, 3 employees got involved and they called Sacramento at least 3 times :o No decision was made so
they collected all the fees (346.00) and said they are sending copies off to Sacramento for further investigation. Good thing is they gave me a temp permit
good till the end of May so at least I can ride the bike long enough to see if it's something I want to keep.

I must have at least 200 hours of my time in research and phone calls to get these two bikes legal. I read several months ago that you could legally title
a grey market 2-stroke here in Ca. if it is at least 25 years old. Should have saved or printed out the info but stupid me, didn't. I did call Sacramento
twice before I bought the RGV and they did confirm that I could title the bike. So, my fingers are crossed, all my ducks are in a row, we shall see.

When I still lived in communist, socialist So. Kal., I actually got my RZ500 titled and licensed, and then, the state demanded I surrender the plate, title, registration, and the bike, for crushing, at my expense. I actually got them to give me back the Canadian title, in a hand to hand exchange, their paperwork from my hand to theirs, the Canadian title the same way, with the other hand, at once, and I threatened to sue them about the bike itself. The bike sat in my front room for about 6 years, before I escaped Backward-fornia, to Nevada.

When I got here, I asked about the RZ, it is a 1985 model. I have been here 11 yrs, 8 months. All it took to get a title, registration and plate, was the Canadian title, certificate of registration from Canada, insurance and money, about $45.00 U.S. dollars. It's been registered here ever since, NO ISSUES, NO HASSLES WHAT SO EVER.

Nevada won't register/title a vehicle from a simple bill of sale, there must be a title to work with, though. Clark (Las Vegas) and Carson Counties (Carson City) are the only counties out of our 17 that have any sort of smog inspections, and the people here will keep it that way. DMV offices in the rural areas have friendly, very helpful people, and, no long lines.

If they won't title the bike I will try to get one through Vermont. Not sure how that will work if they pull up information from Ca. Worst
case I can always put it back on ebay and sell to someone other than from Ca. Don't have much into the bike at this point.
