After reading the write up about the RZ350 I am curious about performance.
Compared to a stock H2 with chambers how fast would a RZ350 and RD 350/400 be in a straight line?

The obvious next question would be about the handling of these three (meaning how much better are the Yammies  )?

The H2 would win handily in a drag race and lose miserably in the corners.

Is the RZ way faster than the RD?

I have an rd350, rd400, h2 & H1. The rd350 will kill the others in corners, the h2 will kill the others in straights, the H1 is pretty ok with both, just lacks strong low end. The rz is a more modern, better handling rd....

The RZ would have the advantage of consistency. Air-cooled bikes lose power as they build up heat, unless they are running methanol. While timing bikes at Bonneville I noticed air cooled bikes are always slower in the second mile. Four strokes by 2 or 3 mph, 2 strokes by 3 to 5 or more. That's why I am water-cooling all of my triple race bikes except the current H1. That one gets alcohol for now.

The H2's spanked the RD's around Sears in the mid 70's

They spanked them everywhere - much as I like the smaller Yamahas, they weren't fast enough to trouble the H2's on the av. racetrack. (and neither they should be, given the capacity difference!)

Stock H2 with chambers, RZ/ 350/ 400 with chambers? Straight line? All being tuned properly?
The H2 will be on the top. RZ will be second and the RD 350 and 400 next in line. There is no way the RD's can compare.

Handling? The RD 350/400 best being so light and nimble but in my experience I am a little too tall for the bike so the RZ feels better.

Not comparing apples to apples I can say the RZ can be built up and excite a many of riders.

Now Walms, your Buddies RZ to your 500. That is wide open as we don't know how either is built. Wouldn't you say that is fair statement. How about your 500 and someone elses RZ? Could that possibly turn the other way?
