It was 70° and partly cloudy today, so I went for a 120 mile ride. All it takes is to go about 40 miles east of here and I'm in cotton country. It's ready to pick, too:

I should have ridden it out into the middle of the field for the shot. The farmer probably wouldn't have minded. :lol:

Pop woulda laughed to see those pictures Jim.
I remember he told me about when he and his 6 siblings traveled around during the depresion, they picked whatever was on at the time.
The whole family worked across the country and back a few times.
Picked apples and they ate apples, picked peaches and they ate peachets, etc. etc...
He said we ate what we picked.
And when we picked cotton, we went hungry.

it always made me grin..... :)
