I see a Halogen H4 unit offered at Diablo. Would that be any brighter than the stock Sealed Beam unit?

A candle fitted in the lens would be brighter than OEM.

Thank you Sir. I'll give one a go and leave some feedback on arrival.

I made that change awhile back; you'll be glad you did!

You might try Z1 Enterprises, since you're in the US.

I replaced my sealed beam with a $20 halogen unit sold by Joe the Welder on ebay. Bulb not included. Great improvement at night, however it takes up so much room in the shell that I needed a place to stash the excess wires from the main and handlebar harnesses. Improvised a very small leather fanny pack behind the shell to hold the mess. Gets a lot of questions and doesn't look too bad.

I used an Emglo conversion kit with the stock housing and lens

Add a relay to the circuit for even better lighting.
