Nice pic Barry - I'd be wearing 2 Helmets with those tires, tho. (Just kidding! Hey, it's a discussion without end, is all... )

Notice Barry's other personal protection equipment. If it's good enough for a logger it is good enough for Barry ;) Actually what Barry is wearing more than likely will protect him as good as any MC PPE sold at many more times the cost.

True states cannot restrict movement between states, but they sure as hell revoke a license. And THAT is a privilege. You can walk or ride a bicycle if you like. I don't believe for a minute that helmet protection is only a small percentage of prevented head injuries.

Not having a license is another subject you can fight (and win) but it'll cost ya.

It's only a law "in a state" where you sign for a drivers license in which there is a clause where you waive your rights.

However, I can drive in New Mexico - without a license "legally" because I never waived my rights in your state.

Understand this is an unconstitutional law - and I've had this discussion with a constitutional law friend and he was quite clear. There are lots of precedents where individuals have fought against it - and won. Time and Money to do this. Most of us are unwilling to fight for our inalienable rights because of the time and money it takes for defend your rights. Consequently the system craps all over us.

Hell, you can fight anything in court, and win. look at OJ. The point is, if you get pulled over and don't have a valid drivers license from some state, you are in deep crap, and will pay big bucks to get out of it.

OJ was in criminal court, rules are different but constitutionnal litigation is an other story and BTW OJ lose on civil court (different rules also)
