 Post subject: oil pump washers

I used to have a Suzuki GT380 back in the 70's and the oil piump used nylon washers for the banjo bolts will these work on my KH500? Suzi part part number 09168-06004 6.2X11X1.2
any ideas on this or has it been tried?

I think most guys like the Statoseals but some use the brass washers too.
If the ID is correct and they fit, I dont see why they wont work.
Just need to make sure oil holes all line up correctly.
And that there are no air leaks.

Stat-o-seals have proven to be a trouble free replacement for OEM and are available thru several sources.
$1.18/ea https://www.mscdirect.com/product/65075491
With the thickness you have provided it would probably mean new, longer banjo bolts would be required.
If the Suzi part is cost effective, reusable, and doesn't leak... be a guinea pig and let use know.

New seals are generally not the problem - the torque people apply to the bolts to 'seal' the washers is - take it EASY!! :think:

That is an issue with the Suzuki washers. I have used them before and always had a little seepage. I use stat o seals mostly now.
