Tone, How are you doing! I reckon, (having bought a new H1 in 1970, and still having a rear fender in my 'stash' - that ALL the early H1's in Aus. had the shorter fender, with the rubber plug where a reflector would go, as per the left-hand one in your pic. - never saw any different. H2's a different story, they all had the Ugly "Euro" fender! (Which we all cut off, when we got home from the Dealer...!! :lol: )

Hey Rod,I'm well thanks.Hope you are too.
This was off an early Aussie bike but that's why I asked....how early...I thought maybe 69
You say your 70 had US fender and the reflector hole where the rubber stop was/is?
I can't find a reflector anywhere,have you got one Rod?

^ I never saw a reflector on an Aussie Spec. H1, or H2 for that matter! They both had a rubber plug where the reflector went on a Euro spec. bike, even the long fender H2. Not sure, but your long H1 fender made its way here from O/seas, I'd guess! The H1 Parts Book I got in '70 doesn't show a reflector at all (My H2 parts Book ('72) has a Euro. supplement for lights/reflectors, etc.) No, I don't have a reflector! :lol:

The 69 rear fender without the hole or rubber plug I was referring to was REAL early ones.
Maybe a few hundred at the most?

Sorry, I missed this, the early '69s up to around #1,800 had the dent in the fender, after that they were plain, the rubber bung came in somewhere around #3,200 :thumbup:

The MEGGA early cylinders on the H1 were bridgeports, however, they didn't have the bottom fin cut off to gain access to the oil banjo bolt ;)

RB, have those early transfers been knife edged afterwards, or is that also how they came from the factory?
