thanks RB , but why a 650 , when they had a 250 trail bike ? , just put three together ?, isnt that why there 750s , and to go one better than than the poms 650s urs Al in Aus

Originaly Mother kawa was thinking to built a 750 four stroke four cylinders DOHC "New york steak" code project they will show on Tokyo show 69 and was a sense to built a 650 triple two stroke as the 750 should be the king of the range.
But on Tokyo show 68 came the Hondu four and so Kawasaki waited to see how the world recieved the hondu four.
So they decided to overbored the 650 triple project to 750 and the 750 DOHC to 900 after have tried 1000 and 1100 DOHC.

This explains also why, as wrote Ja-moo the transferts are small and are the weak point of the 748cc H2, KR 750 are really different on transferts also

Years after Kawasaki do it again and come the Z 650.

BTW think the 650 K triple side car was on Tokyo show 69 and not 70 have a (bad) picture on a french motorcycle review from the period but don't know where it's among the others

RB - Very interesting! Do you have a frame to go with it? Is it AKF ? Is the engine sand cast? You know way more than me on triples but I'm still learning too! Thanks for posting! Louis

I like learning things too.
I have 2 early style H1 rear fenders with this indentation in the front of it(the one on the right) and a couple without it.
The one on my 70 H1 does not have it.
Has anyone seen this before and if so does it mean anything?

Just thought I'd ask about early euro fenders....whether they had no reflector hole with early 69 h1
This one pictured(euro is bigger)is one of mine and was supposed to come off any early one?
