Hello:
I need to sell my two old kaws. Both have been repainted blue and will need to be repainted to look original. Both start, run well and ride well. They have not been restored. They have some minor rust and show their age. I plan to take pics, but wanted to list them here first before putting them on ebay. Willing to negotiate.
Send email reply or call me at: 301-577-4361, please leave message.
Thanks, Richard.

Well we made a deal over the phone last night. Richard sent me some pics of both bikes. They were a little crusty but worth his asking price. He said he just wanted to get what he paid a couple years ago plus $500. We agreed and "shook hands" so to speak. I let him know I would leave in the a.m. around 10:30 to avoid the Baltimore and DC traffic both ways. I let him know I would call him when I was about an hour out. It is a two hour one way trip....
I stopped at the bank to get the cash, borrowed a neighbors trailer, set up my truck to accept the neighbors trailer and lights, picked up my Dad's neighbor to give me a hand if needed and off we drove in the rain. As agreed, when I was about an hour away I called Richard to let him know I would see him within the hour. He said okay and he had the bikes out and ready but had changed his mind about selling them. He advised he thinks he could do much better on e-bay

But I was still good to "stop by" to see them.
Shame on me.....when he sent me the pics, I noticed his email address was....are you ready for this?......"urscrewed@verizon.net"!! Just a heads up to anyone who may have to deal with this guy. A day wasted, inconvenienced a friend and wasted $25 in gas for the 100 mile "joy ride".
Going to return the trailer now.....
Reminds me of RB's recent situation with his H2-C he arranged to buy, though in the end, the seller returned to good form and the deal was in fact completed.
The reality is, there are some individuals that do NOT have any sense of integrity and therefore their word is worthless when it comes to their motivation for the all-mightly dollar. Thankfully they are largely outnumbered by those of us who keep their word, like the members of this (and other) board(s).
I hope he in turn doesn't get spammed and scammed by anyone else...301-577-4361...urscrewed@verizon.net.
