I am running Factory Pipe Product chambers on my 72 H2 and would like to run the center stand. Will the middle chamber interfere with the stand??? The FPP brochure says they can be used with center stands on some models...is the 72 H2 one of these? thanks.

FWIW, years ago I ran a set of new chrome J&R pipes on a '72 H2, with a centre-stand. Just had to flatten and provide a bit of clearance on the inside of the pipes here & there - would have had to anyway, regardless of the c/stand! A bit of 'tuning' to the pipes won't affect the performance of the pipes at all.

Someone around here modified his center stand to clear the center chamber, cutting a piece out of the crossbar and welding in a U-shaped replacement that went around the pipe. The chamber was left alone. Personally I always thought of chambers as saving weight in two ways... one by being a lot lighter than stock pipes, and another because they make you take off the center stand.

When I first got a modern sports-bike, without a c/stand, I missed it for about, like, 10 seconds. You really don't need a c/stand! (Not that a H2 stand is heavy!!)

I have J&Rs with centre stand on my '72...no dents either. On an H2C I had FBGs also with centre stand. My other '72 has FPPs and the centre stand doesn't seem to fit. ;)

One of the Spec II pipes will allow CS retention. Iron has them on his Blue Bayou bike.

Yes, I love the center stand. That little weight don't make a difference for having fun. Not like I am trying to set a record or anything.

First off  :o :o :o :o Love the H2!!!!!!!!

I am more attempting to correct the severe lean angle of my H2 kickstand....Is there another kickstand to use instead? Something longer but not too long?? Thanks.

I had to cut my stand below the spring mount and weld in an extension to get enough, after installing longer shocks, getting bigger tires, etc..
