Hi all.
Fitted my clip ons today but had a disaster at the end....
Left one plug disconnected and started her up. Realised when she ran like a dog.
Connected it up but now I have no lights or indicators? Really puzzled!
Fuse is fine.
Any thoughts?
Cheers.
It's a kawasaki kh125 1990. 6v system.

Done that. Can't see anything unless I'm just blind from looking at it all for so long.
Would anything have fried with me leaving one thing unplugged?

Had a play. Can't see why it's not working. Horn isn't working either now.
However the front and back light come on when you use the parking light?

Leaving off a plug wire wouldn't have caused this. As Husson73 said ^ it sure sounds like a ground wire broke/disconnected/came unplugged. That's normally the cause of whacky electrical problems like you're describing.

Since this happened immediately after your handlebar change, try to find what ground connection was disrupted because of that work.

Thanks a lot!!
Was considering disassembling it all and going again.
Really odd because it worked briefly then went.
Appreciate the advice all!!

Just pulled it all apart again. Unplugged everything and made real sure it's all in properly.
Still no luck.
I wonder if I have pulled a wire out of the rev counter unit or the ignition?
Is that possible?
Are they easy to open up?
Cheers.

There are 2 earths in the headlight unit for the indicators but can't see any others?
How would I check its all earthed?

If something like an indicator bulb for example, is connected properly, when it's lit, one terminal will have about 12V on it, and the other will have nearly zero volts on it. If the ground side is not connected to ground, it will also have about 12V on it, and it the bulb won't be lit.
