Only available in Canada so I've heard... CB125R
I picked this up from a fellow tripler with plans to stuff a CR250 motor in it.
I'll need something to keep up with my daughter on the G3!

What, around the DC area no twisties? Take Beach Drive from Garret Park Rd. to the National Zoo. On the way to the zoo, go up to the stables at Military Rd., taking Ross up the hill, then left on Ridge, and back to Beach on Broad Branch. You can go back north on Beach there, and make it a 4-mile loop. Then there are plenty of cool old back roads along the river from Seneca Creek to Poolesville, and around there, or along the river past the various locks. Also Glen Rd, South Glen Rd., Glen Mill Rd., Travilah Rd., etc.. I know you know about all these. :D

All good roads but no fun to ride any longer due to radar, old people, and deer.
We now have a plethora of mobile speed cameras; some are in parked un-marked mini vans and some are stainless steel boxes that get moved around a lot.
The Park Police are now in the revenue collecting business as well.
On my way to work from Bethesda to Blair Rd in DC today; 8 miles; 1 marked car radar parked, 1 unmarked car parked; 1 mobile radar on Military Rd which was installed on Monday, 1 decorative pole on Blair Rd. and I officer that pulled over a car on 13th St.
You get a ticket in the mail with a lovely photo of your car and a close up of the tag.
South Glenn and surrounding is a haven for cops to catch the rich driving fast.

So far the only road that is not always clogged with cars going the posted 25 or 30 MPH speed limit is MacArthur Blvd from the DC line to the Potomac River park. It's about 6 miles and very nice; just have to stay quiet around the houses and have only seen Police twice in 4 years; Saturday there were deer everywhere but so far chambers have scared them back toward the woods.. I have been run into by a deer once on Glenn Rd. and my former wife twice all in cars; one time was at a stop sign.

From Rockville to my pals shop on Whites Ferry road in Poolsville are 4 radar cameras.
Thanks for the reminder about Beech; haven't been on the MD side in awhile and it's worth a slow ride through DC to make a quick lap home if all is clear. For that matter, it's about time to check them all again but last summer was a mine field.

You guys in more rural areas have it made; I'd rather ride in a straight line fast as opposed to looking around every corner ready to hit the brakes hard. They say the new radar puts out such a low signal that the detectors don't see it until it's too late and may not even be on until triggered by a vehicle.

Anybody have experience with new radar detectors?
Also, any ideas on how to mount a tag on an H2 that would be hard to photograph?

Jim, you gotta try a teeny bike on the twisties. I felt the same way you do, until I rode Mark's 100cc Yamaha on the Dragon, and now I'm a complete convert. The H2 is still tons of fun, and good for long rides, but that 100 was huge fun.

You should have ridden my TZR250 Jim...Mark did. I agree with you, I had more fun this year on the Dragon with the TZR than In previous years with the H1. It corners like it's on rails - 315 lbs (wet) and 57 hp! Good fun! :D

Jim C, sorry to hear about the good roads being not so good any more, although a lot of my experience on those roads is from riding a bicycle on them. Slowing the rich folks down out in the Potomac area is not such a bad idea. I've seen some pretty stupid driving out there.

You're right about the country. I feel lucky around here with all the back roads and very few cars. I don't know if I've ever seen a radar trap here other than on route 85. Mostly the sheriff's deputies and state troopers keep moving, but I assume they have a digital readout of the speed of cars around them. Deer are a problem here though, as they are nearly everywhere these days, but I don't see much of them if I avoid evening and night riding. At least I haven't had a problem yet...

JC, it sounds like I should have ridden your TZR250. I'll let you remind me of that next spring. :P

I'd like to ride a TZR anything!
Great power to weight ratio; bet that one is a hoot.
