Y'all are ruining my happy place with all of this aeroplane talk.... I come here to get away from the stupid things!!!!

Mark-U do not have to read this thread so on with the aeroplane stuff.

Here is a short video of my brother flying a RV6 he built. I shot this on a severe clear fall day when we flew to Gaston's Resort for lunch. My brother will be 74 in June and still does flight instruction. He taught me how to fly in 1980. I've noticed that one thing motorcyclist and pilots have in common (if they don't kill themselves with one) is that they tend to stay active longer in life.

By the way the RV6 grosses out at 1600lbs. Scully could carry like 140 of these in a 777

My first job out of A&P school was at Catalina Airlines when they had Grumman Gooses. We usually left the tug hooked to the front of the plane for run up checks.

Before wrenching on the heavy stuff I worked in G/A for several years. During employment with one outfit my colleagues and I restored a Grumman "Widgeon". This one went on to win an award at Oshkosh, circa '84 or '85

When doing power runs on B777-200 with GE90's we had to load 65 tonnes of fuel on minimum to help stabilize it. We used to run them up in front of a large grass bank and I swear you almost see the rabbits getting sucked out of there! 777 much easier to taxi than the 747's, just get off the brakes and your on the go.... but we are not allowed to taxi where I currently work.
Currently daily work B777-200/300, B747-400, A330-300, A340-300 and A340-600's
