hagerty is a big NO for me. I had a classic car under them.. and I must have a daily driver car to prove that the classic car is not a daily driver.. no problem, that is ok and I had been doing that with them for years.
I called them to add my classic Honda.. they said I had to have a daily driver motorcycle also or they would not insure it.. WTH? I immediately cancelled all my policies with them and went with American Modern... much cheaper than hagerty too...

they only asked me to prove I had a primary vehicle other than my H2. Maybe you got a trainee?

I know... I challenged them and re-challenged them.. still said no.. so I said cancel me after I had used them for 5 years

Same here. The agent I talked to requested a photo, and didn't even mind the black expansion chambers, Lester wheels, and drag bars. All she said was that it looked like it was in nice shape.

Grundy is the company I had a problem with when applying for one of my old musclecars. They declined me on answering yes to the survey app question of would you stop by the store while out to pick up a gallon of milk. :x   Chose Hagerty and never looked back..... :)

I have to admit that I was careful when I talked to the Hagerty agent. I had heard stories like yours, Evans, so I described my use as going to antique motorcycle meets, shows, and riding around the countryside, although I can't say I've ever tried to get a gallon milk home safely on my H2 anyway. I think she might have asked if the motorcycle was modified too. My standard answer for that is "Well it's an old motorcycle, and not many original parts are still available, so in some cases I've used close substitutes."
