They do seem to have character and there's a post about fuel lines just about a week ago. Bike is looking good though. :)

Just got some Black Mylar 4mm hose from MisAtlantic cycle. Have been told it lasts forever and never leaks....
I was just going to see if I could get it going...even though it has a very weak spark on kicking through and will need the low speed coil changing anyway.

Mine's doing the same thing. Very weak spark and no start unless you kick it hard enough to get enough spark to get it running. Fortunately there was a NOS 21076-011 stator (yoke) in the box of parts I bought from the WI dealer recently. I've kinda got hooked on this thing now and though I was originally going to just ride it I knew in my heart I would probably want to find some NOS parts to make it super nice so been looking around and finding lots of tempting goodies lately including an NOS wrapping paper new H2B seat that looks really sweet. Euro model which because of the center strap and divided trim appears to trick your eye into believing that long seat looks good.

Sounds like you have found some nice parts. I would prefer the Euro seat but I have 2 US H2C seats. I have them both recovered and will pick the best one and may sell the other one. Yesterday stripped my body set and put Caswell coating in the tank came out really well.
I shall be getting my paint done very shortly and them I,m complete apart from bleeding dual disc and replacing the Low Speed Coil in my stator. Lakeland do a replacement one which comes with great instructions. Love to see some pics of your restoration do you have a link?

No pix yet but I'll get a few after more re-assembly is done. Also found a used yoke on eBay; working order unknown obviously but it might make a good practice part. If the low speed winding is in trouble I might try rewinding it per Tom Garcia's instructions mraxl has posted in resources.

Unless you just want the experience of rewinding, you would be time & money ahead to just buy a completed coil from Jim.

BEAUTIFUL job...I'm glad you ended up finding a nice set of those hard to find Lesters, not to mention the dual-disc set-up. Is that an oem rear grab rail, or one of the nice repros from John overseas (from Jess Bikes perhaps)?
