Why it's so weird.

#1 You are in essence STANDING UP while doing XXX MPH. You can't put all your weight on the seat or you will FALL OVER.
#2 You have to lift your left foot off of the "platform" to shift, but if you do that at the wrong time (side-hilling), the bike wants to tip over within the chassis.

as to the 3 into 1? It is ALL torque up to its own redline. I actually got this pipe off of a flat track H2 racer I bought. Whether or not the bike was competitive? I do know its power is much more 4-strokeish than 2 stroke.
On the street it would get pretty boring not being able to rev your engine past 6500.
But if you could pull taller gearing (17/42), it might be fun.

RB said he wanted to put 3 individual chambers on it, so when he gets around to it, I'll probably have to try this 3 into 1 on one of my street bikes.

You know what, every dog has it's day ;) And, trying to be realistic, I have not had "days" but MANY years of good fortune (call it what you will), I have been blessed to have survived So many escapades unscathed - I am in total awe of what you and Mark have acheived with this "contraption", and I take my hat off to you both for completing what I have only dreamed of! - Keep having fun on it! - I seriously doubt, that when (if) it comes back I will ride it in vengence ;)   . . . . Oh, and on THAT note - Come see the "SNOWJOB" at RB's birthday bash this summer 8-)

Wouldn't miss it for the world Rick.
But I will let the young and foolish lads ride the beast.

Waconia was a SUCCESS!...and a great time.

The lake this year was 100% Glare Ice everywhere except along the shoreline where there is a bit of wind-driven snow. Its pretty bumpy...Especially on the Snow Job which tries to throw you off on flat smooth ground!

Here are a few vids taken with Mark's Go Pro that I just uploaded to Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... _tsooEySHA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 3Z9lEfd6cM

These vids really give no idea of how many people attend this event, which is in the THOUSANDS! I'm sure Mark will post some of the photos he took that hopefully show the size of the crowd and how many hundreds of snowmobiles are buzzing around....

He also got a really cool pic with the Snow Job parked in front of a Ford Model A (or T?) truck with snowmobile conversion kit!

There were MANY different makes and models of 2 stroke Triples running around.
I shot a few pics of these Chapparels.

and this one was awesome. A guy took two SRX440 Yamaha Engines and made it an 880 4 Cylinder! This thing must just be a nightmare to ride!
and check out the Jet sizes written on the carb bells in magic marker... A 700 in the left, 660's in the two center cyls, and a 580 in the right. And I thought it was weird that a Buffalo has a different sized jet in the middle cyl....lol

and Finally, we weren't the only "Motorcycle-Engined" snowmobile out there. Among some converted Trail 90's, and a few other oddballs, we came across this pair of Yamaha SR-V's that have been repowered by Suzuki GS engines!

The Snow Job had a crowd around it whenever you stopped. Sometimes there were 20-30 people all over the thing.. Most people really got a kick out it!
As always happens, A few guys had stories of their own H1's and H2's, and of course there was the one "expert"  that was sure to let Mark and I know that the "Blue was Too Dark" on our budget paint job. And then of course, asked if we had any triples we wanted to sell.... :e9

Fun Day!

A couple more pics of the Sno Job:

And this was usually how the crowd looked around it, just like a triple at a bike night. In the center is Marks really cool Arctic Cat, behind it the Sno Job:
