set and watched the Tigers blow a 3-1 lead. wrecked a perfectly good day. Some iron object had to die. So i moved bikes around a while, and then went back to the perpetual project. 15 years ago, my project H1 spare engine rolled over with good compression. almost tried to fire it up. Then shortly after, it became stuck. Its KAE-042XX and has the bridgeport top complete, and the low tower US ignition distributor. SO I wailed on it for a while with the rubber hammer, to the usual no avail. So since the pistons are a write off, I took a big bolt {really big} and my brass hammer, and began tapping on the outside 2 cylinders. They moved. Then i noticed number 2 was no longer at TDC, so I oiled it up some more inside and out, and started alternate hitting 1 and 3, and before long all 3 moved up and down most of the way. So then i grabbed the kickstart lever, and away she goes. rolls sweet now too, sucks on all 3, seems to have fair compression {heads off, just used my hand over the cyls}, and the best part of all... numbers 1 and 3 are loose at the deck. Now that I know i have these cylinders I am going to get barbaric on KAE-01662.
odd that they are so close in number, block and frame are only 8 off. KAE-01662 KAF-01670. I guess now i just need to save the block. Maybe i will see this thing smoke someday.
