Jackman, we get a fair number of little outages here, but we also get the typical southern ice storms in the winter. One of those can take out power in widespread areas. We've always had backup power with a smaller generator, but I got tired of messing around. I ran this one Tuesday, and with 3 tons of air conditioning, a water heater, well pump, several refrigerators, lights, and computers running, the load meter got as high as about 60%. That was satisfying. If you're in the business, you're probably familiar with this unit... the "10kW" is actually 12.5 continuous and 15 for 20-30 minutes at a time.
No I am not familiar with your unit last winter was so warm instaed of doing my regular job of delivery home heating oil I worked with the propane dept because there was no oil to deliver , most home owners installed 5,000 watt units with small Kohler single cylinder or twin cylinder engines, according to the propane techs propane fuel is the worst for generators because there run time is less than a gas or diesel unit.
one homeowner went all out and bought a huge V-6 Cummins Propane unit and a 14,000 watt gen and three 300 pound propane tanks
