For those that have to build a transmission:

The orientation of the locating half circlip (in the case) on the end support bearings will change the position of both shafts, should the circlips be flipped around. These things must not have a perfect square profile. So if you need a few thou to get running clearances of end gears or free clearances of adjacent gear dogs while in neutral, keep this in mind.
