On the sytec, you have a choice, fiddle fart around a lot trying to get and keep it adjusted correctly. Or move the hole and not deal with it. Stock it's a wussy pull, so a bit more is not a big deal. If your knuckles don't crack when you pull your clutch, it's too easy.......

I haven't used that actuator, but I understand that if you do the m in sc mod, you still have a good compromise between a stock actuator and an unaltered Sytech. In other words, lower lever pull than stock, but enough travel to get decent disengagement.

Im with moo on the wussy thing. 8-) Had a sytec once. was way to easy of a pull for my liking..The bearing type actuator is a much better alternative in my book... and sell for less then a clean sytec will bring..Once ya drill her. she will be near worthless to most..

But you don't have to drill the hole
Either a dog leg style lever that is tweeked for more cable pull (what I originally did)
or
a clutch perch that has a higher level of cable pull due to different geometry (EX500)
Both had a much easier pull than stock and I was running 3 Barnett springs

Dont know how you guys are adjusting your sytec's, but I have 3 of them in bikes and they work fine. Ive never had to touch them after initial adjustment???

I did hear that Hide changed vendors and the 2nd gen's weren't quite as good though?

I drilled the hole and it works great now. I took some ruff measurements first with a rule in the vice too see whats going on. the stock actuator has about 4mm travel, sytech has about 1.5mm travel, with hole 10mm closer it gives me 2.5mm travel which sounds about right too me (ratio wise)
I must add... sytech is a beatifully made item, it just needed a thread pitch somewhere half way between made and stock.
Also 10mm is bang on. if you drilled 11mm it wouldnt work as the bit that holds the cable end would hit the other bit. :? so for those that cant measure too good, 9mm you should aim for, and go up a bit so the cable end doesnt hit the arm
Wheres the BEER drinking smile??
P.S...the cable does rub on the ali case like i suspected. Cares. They still make cables.

yes, i forgot about that(the hole being up on the arm). I think mines like 2mm up off centerline. Funny, my cable never rubbed? but its been like that for years and hasn't failed. maybe it does and i just didnt notice  ? glad it worked for you!

You dont really need a pic...
Try and save the pin that comes with the sytech as its a stepped pin, peaned (bashed with hammer  ) on the end too hold it in there. Just slowly squeeze the end of it with appropriate pliers and work your way around it untill its smaller than the hole its in. worked good for me.
As for the hole...Just redrill 9-10mm closer in (thats 3/8 in jurasic measure  ) and 6-7mm down from the top edge of the arm.
You will probably have too grind or file a radious on one corner of the piece that holds the cable so it doesnt clash.
This is best done BEFORE you assemble and re-pean
