oh i know... was thinking about it. but i figure w/the stock isolator gasket in there the expansion rate shouldnt be too bad. and the holes are not 'exactly' 8mm.... :lol:

Damm that's a nice design. I've been watching the low end 3d printers for a few years now. They are really at the high end hobby level now and getting cooler and more affordable all the time. SO much potential....

thanks steve, i appreciate it. I do plan on building my own printer over the winter. in the meantime, im lucky my office mate is letting me guinnea-pig on his.

got the first prototype test intake from kevin. his printer had issues and skipped on th ex axis but was good enough for a test fit. (cooling fans and 1.8 degree steppers will cure this)

its printed at 30% density hence why it looks so rough. it would def work but needs to be shortened a bit (can only do it about 1/2 inch more, maybe) . BUT everything clears nicely. you could def get away with angled unis on the outer carbs on the s2 frame. the intake/carb/reed is stock rd 250/350. length from stock s2 intake setup to this is 3". thats hair longer than i have on my h1 fwiw.

while it may not be theoretically optimal im thinking this will def work well.

Up means up and down means down is such a classic quote for these bikes. I had no idea till i rode and owned my first one how nice that shift pattern is. :thumbup:
