So what is the purpose of a private message scrambler73?????? Here are a few words: What part of private is unclear. Nothing to hide, but privacy is more than a personal preference as it is a societal value! Enough said.

Dont go there buddy... I did NOT send you a PRIVATE MESSAGE... I sent you an Email.

And there was nothing in your return email about keeping some super-secret, lets keep the price between us, wink, wink, nudge, nudge :e9

"societal value". Give me a break.

When one of my friends on here (and yes, I do consider some of these guys actual FRIENDS) asks "how much does he want for it"... Im going to tell my FRIENDS the price.

I dont know you from Adam, and as far as I know you dont even own a '69 H1? Have you made any contributions to the board? Have you introduced yourself?... NOPE, you just come on here and try to sell something for a ludicrous price......... RED FLAG

A few of us (me included) have been bitten by smart ass, know-it-all, 1-post wonders coming on here only to sell their crap.
Not to say the bike is crap, cause it looks like a good project for someone..
It is most definately OVERPRICED though.

As has been stated ad nauseum, PUT THE BIKE ON EBAY IF YOU WANT THE MOST MONEY.

We KNOW how much these stupid things cost to restore correctly. And to start with something in that condition for "close to 10g's" is nutballs.

I think its well worth $10,000 I would give $12,000 for it tomorrow, pab send me your bank account number, card and pin number I will transfer the cash into your account + a bonus of $5,000 to hold it for me until I'm able to pick up

Scrambler: Thanks again for all your help. I like your passion but I am not your buddy.

ALL: Show interest, put a number on the table.
The bike needs no introduction and neither do I.
I have it, it is for sale, it is what it is.
Want it, let me know and we will take it from there.
If I offended yet another triples board, so be it. I am not here to make friends, I have a bike to sell. Though, it is quite interesting how the interactions develop. AND some of you are actually trying to help me and I appreciate it.

I think that the mods should look into removing this guy. After reading the thread on KTOG site and reading his stated agended here, he is of no use to this forum. He is just as bad as the spammers that were left into the old board.

I must admit I enjoy threads like this and would love to see this bike go to ebay with no reserve . From the few pictures of the 69 in question I could see it bring 5-6K on ebay
if it's listed worldwide. . Add other 5K of work and it really is a 10K bike. I think the moderators need to increase the font size of the header at the top of the forum
"Enthusiasts from around the world dedicated to the preservation and ritual flogging of the infamous Kawasaki 2-stroke Triples". Maybe newbies think it reads
"Come here to sell your stuff for way more than it's worth"

I put it up to the admins. I personally would not like to see his type around here either, as I have always has a dislike for guys just trying to make a buck off of these bikes.

And right now it's 50/50. I think it would be in the best interest pab, to let this rest on the board. Anyone making offers will go to PM. As arguing with long standing members here is not going to make you any points..............

JaMoo: I followed your suggestion for this board ( see my first post) all business! I put lots of hard earned time and money in this bike many years ago. I stored it for decades and now it is for sale.

[Board index » Selling stuff, want to buy stuff, and guys that sell and work on stuff For Sale Don't need extra parts? Help other out by sharing. "Or a bike you want to give a new home".]

Not sure where the other personal attacks, injecting motive, my price is too high, tying to make a buck, burst my bubble, whatever comes from... NO ONE has made an offer though some have expressed interest. I have yet to establish a firm price. I look forward to and will continue to work with interested parties.

I am following the Board Rules - not sure where all the side tracking comes from.

Administrators: Back to Basics: Have a bike that I 'want to give a new home'. I am asking for anyone interested in this bike to contact me. Thank you for your time.

The gist of it all, is you haven't broken any of the board rules.

And you "almost" followed my advise, as I advised, list all the info, mods and "what kind of money you want" Which you have been very evasive on, on both boards. Which indicated to me (correctly) that you want much more than what the bike is worth.

And maybe the "for sale" section needs to be modified to require a price range wanted for bikes for sale. That would have solved the issues here.

One thing about message boards, is that members do have a right to post their opinions, as long as the board rules are followed.

I personally think you won't find a buyer on any of the triple boards, and E Bay would be your best bet. It's like a guy going to a coin collectors convention trying to sell a slug........
