Hello Ivan,

I have seen your H1 carb kits designated for years 72'-76', will they work on the early H1's?

Cheers

I would be shocked if it didn't work.... the key here is to use both my needles and needle jets.

I haven't tested it in an older bike, but the porting/exhaust didn't change significantly enough to affect the jetting throughout the years.

The significant thing that changed is the height of the primary choke from early to later models.... this will affect throttle sensitivity in the first half a turn on the throttle.

The shorter the height, the more sensitive it will be..... this also affects main jet size and the entire fuel slope at wide open throttle..... on really thirsty 2 strokes, a shorter primary choke may not deliver enough fuel at wide open throttle...... (warranty issues or the need for a power jet), also a shorter choke may cause the needle taper to change..... It did not need changing on my T20 X6 Hustler, but did on my TC200 when the chokes were made shorter.

In the spring, I will get a set of the early carbs and set them up on my bike with my current parts and compare the differences.... I will offer the parts for them if there is a noticeable difference in performance.... if not the kit will be for all years.

Ivan

Are there two different kits here - Jet Kit and Carb Kit? If so, what's the difference in parts and price?

No difference.... same thing.
