This is NTR but the guy (we know who he is) posted it on 2007 and it's been in my favorites forever - I watch it regularly to get a laugh.

Received the RK 520 non o-ring chain for the H2 - first chain in 25 years  ...the other bikes were retirement bikes with drive shaft :wtf: Somewhat surprised with the width, seems like its compensating for the non-existing o-rings which is not what I expected :x - expected measurements like my old RK. The width of the old one is more compressed (no side way slack) via a shorter pin whereas the new RK there is a gap between the inner and outer plates, over half a mm with the pins longer by the same amount. Im guessing that with the o-rings the RK is even wider?

RK 520 non o-ring chain 120 links :)

Old RK showing no gaps between plates

New RK showing .6+ mm gaps between plates
The white lube sure is sticky, seems like a magnet for dirt and grime. Ive heard that the stuff will eventually fly all over the place.

Seems this gap is just another place for dirt to collect. Maybe the spacing is there for less friction and chain life.

Maybe it is an 'O-ring' chain, without the O-rings..........( not trying to be funny!)
