Yeah, it was all fear of the unknown. I didn't realize that the crank case suction was so much more powerful than the oil pump output and that they work in unison. You were right. (NO SUPRISE TO YOU) In my mind it was all about pump output alone. I realy didn't get it. THANK YOU! :D

That's why I liked your little write-up a few days ago Dale - good summery on these old bikes.

Some of us have had them a long time, some just getting into it. Some have bikes with a few things wrong, some have a lot of things wrong. Some have had them most their adult life (Jim and I as just two examples) but I've only split my casing twice. When I was 19 and when I was 51. This last time was fun! Although I've taken apart a lot of it more than once to correct things I took short cuts with (like reusing c-clips and lock washers) or the fun one was chasing the extra woodruff key!

Being heavy handed and stripping holes and breaking bolts along the way - always means more fun!

Your pump line "donation" was the part that sealed the deal..as well as my air leak. :lol: :thumbup:
