Me, 74 years old. I was Yvon duHamel's race bike mechanic at Team Kawasaki Road Race, U.S.A. (along with Steve Whitelock, early to mid 1970's)., engine design & development engineer for all 4 Japanese manufacturers, same for R.C. Engineering on street bikes, and engine designer for Russ on the rear engine inline Gold Wing cylinder head Top Fueler, race engine tech on The Sorcerer, Russ' Top Fuel, supercharged, dual engine V8 Top Fuel drag bike, and I just retired from a noted MotoGP entity. I worked as an engine development engineer on AMA/FIM Grand Prix engine design & development for the last 28 years for a rider that won 18 championships, and two of his team mates that won two each MotoGP titles as well.
I also owned and ran, was the mechanic in 3 of my own motorcycle shops.
51 years of street, dirt and race bike engineering, stock, performance, all-out race. I own 3 dyno's, 3 flow benches (1 dry flow, 2 wet flow units (I built the 2 wet flow benches all by myself)). YES, I am arrogant, and insist on telling it exactly like it is, because I LIVED EVERY SECOND OF IT, hands-on.
And, you worked for Mercury Marine.... ADMIRABLE. Too bad I don't have all the raw experience you obviously have, sir.
