Regular stuff, who wrote the song, how you got together. Just some history......

Well, it started around 1999/2000 i think. A couple of buddys of mine had rented a house/workshop to have a place to wrench on their bikes. To cut the cost pr. person, they asked me to join. I needed a place at the time, so I did. A little later, another guy that I didn't know joined as well. He turned out to be a guitar player. He had a friend who played drums, so they started jamming a little bit upstairs, together with a third guy on bass, who couldn't play bass to save his life. :wtf: I tagged along with my guitar for the fun of it. We kept it going for a while, but didn't get anywhere at all. Musically that is. Don't think we ever managed to play through a full song, due to the bass player always playing the wrong tones and messing everything up :D Anyway, the guitar player and the drummer were from the same small place in mid Norway, and they knew a girl from the same place, that actually could sing. She lived in Oslo too, and eventually had time to come to a rehearsal. The no good bass player was replaced with the drummers girlfriend. We were now able to actually get through a full song
The drummer and his girlfriend moved back to where they're from. The singer and the guitarist knew a girl who played drums, also from the same small place AND living in Oslo. She was up for a gig and came to join. We also got the president of the triples club to play bass. It was fun
To cut a long story short, I married the singer and we had our son. That was it for being in a band. Then, earlier this year my wife wanted to start singing in a band again. She auditioned for a band and didn't get the job. She was pretty pissed and said; Let's get the old band back together. The drummer was busy with 2 other bands and didn't really have time for a third. None of us had been playing much since 2002, but we decided to have a go again. I converted to the bass guitar (I'm a shite six stringer anyway  ), and I got a guy at work to play guitar and he had a friend who played drums. We tried them out for a couple of rehearsals. The guitar player did fine, but his drummer friend sucked big time. We dumped the drummer which resulted in the guitar player didn't want to stay either. The old drummer was contacted, and she said she would help us out until we could find someone else. She's still with us :D We really don't want anyone else. She's goood  The funny thing is that the first song we did after getting started again sounded a million times better than what we were capable of 9 years ago. The wife started writing songs this summer, and we booked studio time to get them recorded. That's where we are now. A singer, a drummer, a guitarist and a bass player.

I like your wife

Keep it up.....jamming is a gift. I work with a great guitar player/singer/songwriter.....he and his musical buds recorded a cd that is fantastic. It just sucks because only such a small number of people get to enjoy it.

A power trio with a separate singer. Three instruments is my favorite band configuration. The separate singer makes it more like Led Zeppelin. :P My daughter plays a bit of drums, but I guess the commute would be difficult.
