For the record, you'll notice f and d are right next to each other on the keyboard eh... that was suppose to read "fully".
but I suppose both work! :P

It's workable. The tank looks like it's just sitting on the frame, not integrated into the design of the bike. The tank needs to be level instead of sloping up hill, and the handle bars/gauge cluster need to be lower to get rid of the "V" look it's got.

And either fully or dully can fit in that sentance equally well ;)

The line of the tank is just wrong. Other than that he was close. There's a complete slab side frame like that in a local yard and I've mocked it up in there with different tanks and such and I think it could be made to work... certainly a little better than this. I still wouldn't mind riing it. Probably rides well enough.

Cabbies H2 special used a GSXR frame of the same era using the GSXR tank, MUCH better IMHO.

Those slingshot frames looked awkward, even on a Suzuki............... too high, esp. with a low 2-stroke engine!

.

When these "Professional" traders spend $3,000 on repro bling and then call the bike "restored" Make sure you look at the nice blingy chrome shocks and NOT the spokes, nor the front disc and spokes . . . nor the kicker or ANYTHING that pertains to the TRUE condition of the bike . . . Just look at that nice new shiney chrome! everything else is immaterial

this is what happens when former chopper hacks lose their market and delve into japanese bikes.

You are right, R.B. - but those Z-1's are a classic looking thing!
