I concur - I too love mine for all but the longest road transport stuff, and they are a tad heavy for very tight single trail and the like, but will go almost anywhere with a minimum of fuss.


If you want to lug heaps of luggage and a passenger and lots of road and dirt, a BMW GS/GS Adventure has to be considered, especially second-hand (air/oil-cooled models).

Great hard luggage, excellent suspension and brakes, comfy ergos, outstanding fuel economy and very rugged and reliable.

Isn't there a Suzuki 400 that everyone rides? DR400. XT yamahas are very good bikes as stated too.
