Think it's about time I get a proper flywheel holder to use while torquing down the flywheel nut. My flywheel has two semi-circular slots in the face. I see some that are meant for slots (but I think for slots on the side not on the face), some that are meant for pin, and some that claim to be universal.

I'm thinking that I should be using a pin type holder, but not certain.

What tool(s) are you using? How well do you like them?

Clean threads, blue locktite, smack the ratchet handle a few times with your hand. Bob is now related.......

I have always used a chain vise grip on clutch baskets and magneto rotors and gears without a problem.
Impact to loosen the nut. Torque wrench or like John said to tighten.
