I picked up a set of TM34's that were attached to another H2. Last night I took them apart and noted the jets.

Here's what my carbs have:

Main 250
Pilot 55
Needle Jet 389-06 OR 389-Q6 (I couldn't tell for sure)
Needle 6FP55

The needle doesn't jibe with any of the other TM34 setups in this table: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

I'm wondering if I should just buy new jets rather than try and work with what I have. The seller described the acceleration as "brutal" and that might be good or bad.

If anyone has jetting for TM34's not shown in the table or any other suggestions, please share.

Thank you

I'd try them first. NJ is a Q6. Three seem rich which is good. Don't know about the needle. It's not listed in the Sudco catalog. Sure that number is correct?

I checked all the needles and they are all marked 6FP55. I wonder if they are Factory Pro needles?

I ordered 240 and 230 mains. Then I'll try the carbs out and see if the jet needles / needles will work with the H2.

Hello Mike,

I just put TM34's on my H2 this year as part of the resto project.

Pilot 45
Main 240
Slide 4.0
Needle 6FJ6 - 2
Needle Jet 389 Q6

It's rich down low, hits hard @ 5000/5500
Today I went down to a 42.5 pilot and dropped the needle to the 3rd position.

The motor is ported and John did the heads and cleaned up my port work. He can probably explain what he did better than me.
Once I get a chance to ride it I'll post the Butt Dyno results.

Craig

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the info. My main jets are in the mail and sometime after they arrive I'll put these carbs on and see what happens.

Mike
