 Post subject: S1C 250 steering damper

Did the 250 triples ever have the hydraulic steering damper? The S1C I'm finishing up had one on when I tore it down but I can't find a single picture of an S series bike with one installed.

S1 shows the damper like early H1 had.
Late model do not show it in diagram, but I could not see a side mount one for frame fittings anywhere???

The S3/A offered a steering damper as an optional part (46117-006). Can't say for sure about the S1C but it makes sense that it would also have been available as an option.

I'm starting to think it came with it because the welds on the mount look factory to me. I looked at the KH250 frame I have(I'm restoring a 1976 KH250 next)and it doesn't have the mount. I have found that the S1C has a number of different parts than the KH250 does.

Neither mechanic or hydraulic steering damper is need on a S1
