My H2B carbs have emulsion tube 'shrouds' that are about 6mm tall, protruding into the airstream. I have a spare pair of carbs that I think are H2 or H2A, and the emulsion tube shrouds are really short, like 2mm. Is there a preference there, should I cut my tall ones down? Jetting questions, I am running expansion chambers, have done port work and smaller squish clearance. The carbs have 100 main jets in them now, what would be a good guess to start out with? Also, raise the needles a notch or two? Other question would be base ignition timing, standard or less timing? Thanks to all replies.
