Retirement project Jim, started on a New '72 H2 and hope to finish the same way! I was going to ask you (sorry to ramble Retro 3) How you identify your Early Pipes, in particular...? (I still have a set wrapped in cotton-wool, tucked away. (I mean, I can see a car in the street that I fixed years ago, and can say, yeah, I remember that!!) If I can find a bit more time, I should start a build thread, I have a lot of great parts, and a lot of H2 "stuff", and the project is actually moving ahead, albeit glacially....!

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, Rod, since I'm very sure I made the ones you bought from me. Maybe rephrase the question and I'll try to give you a better answer.

Retro, is that the Z bike from last year that was on the group ride and just restored with 150 on the clock at the Cherehola? If so I was the guy with the 72 Orange H1 next to you at the beginning of the Cherehola with 150 on my clock too. If not, it looks like you have a very nice Z1 still. I would love to find one to restore but unfortunately donor garbage bikes seem to have gone the way of the 69 H1 price wise.

I got into the throttle, either too soon or too hard, coming out of a turn.
Rear tire spun and... I recovered from the spin, but then the suspension didn't like what was happening and the tank slapper ensued.
Some say that I may have gotten onto the painted center line, I will never know for sure.
I blacked out and woke up in a ditch.
Ankle didn't work and then the "Big Story"

Yes, That is it, but that was 2014.
I remember your H1 beside my Z1 in some pictures from that ride, VERY NICE '72!
BTW, have 810 miles on it now
