Leroy found a beautiful H1C with 300 miles on it that he want's me to spruce up and then he bought another sandcast Honda, #56. I have never seen a sandcast this early. It's dressed in K1 clothes for now but is in unbelievable shape. I have my work cut out researching this bike, the early sandcasts had lots of unique parts, over 90. And with one this early it may have a few of it's own. It came with the original teal tins, air cleaner and lot's of other stuff in boxes. This should be a very interesting restoration.

Yes it is. This one of the very first Honda CB750s ever made, probably the first week.

I would rather restore Kawasakis but I can't turn down the money Leroy pays me and for now it's a couple of Hondas. I do like learning about other bikes though.

Yeah, love reading your stuff, GUTS, just that the big Hondas were our "enemy" back in the day, old memories and all that! Lot of parts in one of those engines, eh! :D

Awesome herd of old Hondas eh?
Guy that owns a Honda dealer nearby, actually stumbled across, the 1st CB750 his Father sold and it has an 80 something number.
Probably also a week one production.
I think the dealers all over only got 2-3 each depending on the size of dealership.
Anyways, he completely went through it and refinished or replaced every nut and bolt.
It is the crown jewel in his front bay window.

Made me sad to see the poo brown H1 come out for it though...

If it wouldn't have been for Honda we wouldn't have had anyone to beat up on back then. :D
