To the OCD restorers,

Is the LH carb on the 750s supposed to have the thumb wheel on the slide adjustment screw?
All three of the carbs in my collection have the thumb wheel fitted - do I remove it from the carb I use for the LH cylinder?

There's a bit of conflicting info about and some restorations have it fitted and others do not...

On the H2 and H2A there is no thumbwheel on the left side carb, I haven't restored an H2B or H2C so I can't say about them. If you have one that has a crappy aluminum wheel you can remove it and use the inside part that screws in and it will be correct.

I just looked at a set of carbs that came on a '72 H2 I bought around 1979 or so. All three have the large aluminum knobs. My memory is that the H2 I ride also came that way, but those carbs are a little harder for me to find at the moment.

Thanks for the info blokes.

When I get that far into the resto, I'll know to remove one for the LH (outer) carb.

Some had the wheel... others didn't. I don't know what the cutoff was.

Hmm...

So, I can go either way, so to speak.

I think I prefer the 'minimalist' look, I might remove it for my bike.

Thanks!
