Thanks as always for the far east report, Barry. Isn't that about what you wanted? A more retro styled version of the Yamaha FZ-09.

Jim,for me the more retro naked bikes the better !!!! I have to give it to Yamaha for giving it a try, even though the bike is really not for me !!! I like the 2016 Black FZ 09 better !!! Its a great bike for the money, not sure what Yamaha is going to charge for this new version.I was never a Yamaha 2 stroke person.I like all 2 strokes but the Kawasaki triples will always be where my heart is. I was reading a article about the lack of new bikes from Kawasaki this year !!! Not sure what they are up to but it looks like Kawasaki missed the whole retro naked bike surge and as you know I would love to see Kawasaki build a bike with some sort of triple graphics and looks !!! We will see what Kawasaki comes up with next year !!! I am sure this new Yamaha will be more than the standard non ABS FZ 09 and once you get up pass 10K,personally I would much rather have an MV,especially the new restyled 2016 Brutale 800 triple !!!! What I like about the standard FZ 09 is the price !!!! If I had to choose between the FZ 09 and the MV Brutale 675 at close to the same price I would chose the 675 triple !!! That being said I'm not buying anything yet !!! I think you are right about one thing, toward summer of 2016 I would bet you could get a heck of a deal on the standard FZ09,especially when these new versions go on sale, plus the fact that all 2017 motorcycles will have to have ABS !!!

Kawasaki may be trying to recover from all the R&D money they pumped into the Ninja H2.

Agree, I like the tank but the lights are horrid, especially the front. The FZ09 is probably one of the best performance values out there right now. I like this trend
