Many don't know the aluminum sealing washers are a one time use. The aluminum crushes a bit and it's almost impossible to get to seal once the bolts have been loosened. Many try to just tighten the bolts down more, but either the bolt breaks, or the threads strip out of the pot metal pump. The pumps can be heli-coiled, but that a process. Get stat-o-seals,or dowty seals. (England) These are reuseable and take less torque to seal as they are metal covered rubber.

+1 Stat-O-Seals. I used to anneal the copper ones but still had to use extreme caution not to strip and would get the occasional weep anyway. Went to stat-o and never looked back.

Hi all.

noticing air bubbles in my oil to cylinder feed lines. tried bleeding them as per manual, worked for a ride or two. now i am noticing them again, and too much for my liking. I did see that steel washers were used, so i have some copper washers on the way. is this likely to remedy the issue? or do i have a bad pump, hole in the lines? etc

if you could link me to the cool rubberized metal washers that would be great.

i just bought this thing, so this stuff is all pretty new to me.

thanks in advance.

Any suggestions on where to source new washers?

There are several suppliers, just Google the items you seek.
Here's a link to one supplier with a complete oil line washer set in aluminum.

Another link for the stat-o-seal type, but just the pump end will be covered with this set.

Pulling my H1 motor soon so I ordered from this link on Saturday. Got an email from John at Mid Atlantic almost imediately saying they would ship that day, and thanks for ordering from the website instead of ebay. I pointed him to this thread so he could see where the sale came from. The seals arrived on Monday wow :)

I have been copper coating my crush washers and I have reused them without any leaks, seems to do the trick ..
I certainly agree Stato seals are the way to go, but this way has been working for me.
:) :)
