I'm thinking of buying the WFO paint offered for my 74 H2 and having my local guy paint it. Anyone have experience with using his basecoat with a clearcoat and how well it matches the original factory tri coat? FWIW I'm considering green. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-PAINT- ... RTM2067267

Also, anyone have a source for the Mach IV lettering on the side covers? Anyone make a decal for that? I'm not finding one in my seach......

Thanks!

Since there are probably a few 1000 shades of green, as it all depended on how many coats of candy the painter put on. I'm betting this place is just selling House of Color candy green with a big mark up........ :eh:

Hmmm, well does anyone have a "number" or such of a quality paint that is passable? I'd sure like to not have to spend more than necessary if I don't have too......

I purchased UFO paint for my 72 H2 blue and had my painter shoot it. Like others have said it depends on how many coats you put on determines the end color. Mine turned out great but my painter matched it for a couple other sets I had and they turned out just as good. The set on the right is UFO paint and left is matched but cost a third. The other picture is a painted side cover held up to an original painted gas tank. P.S. The type of paint UFO sends you is illegal in California.[imgImage[/img]
