Cool bike, a friend of mine raced one in the late 80's early 90's almost identical to this bike. These bikes for the most part are notoriously slowww. I am very skeptical of mid 11's, especially with that tiny rear sprocket. Nice bike non the less.

Were there no H1s in New England back then?

I have an old T500 engine here I want to throw in this little dune buggy I have one day. Even though they weren't powerhouses, I always wondered how much HP is really locked away.

Actually I recall my friends 500 would run mid to low 9's in the 8th mile. At that time my Suzuki was running high 6's. I hated to run him becouse his bike did good on the "little end" so when I would set him out it looked like he was almost to the finish when my lights were coming down. I would just leave and shift gears and by the end of the 8th I would be screaming by him. He was going through the traps in the high 70's and I was going through about 102. I was a blast back in the day ! At that time there wasnt much the guys out at the track wouldnt race !
