kinda neat now looking back, but the turbo was a poor seller , the shop I worked at still had one in 88 they tried hard to get iy out but it was kinda ugly or maybe the paint color was off, nobody wanted it

I remember reading that the Suz Turbo bike was the handler of the bunch. The 85 designation stood for HP. I agree that the paint scheme on this one was bland and very conservative. Our local dealer had one and it stayed on the floor for 4-5m yrs before it sold. Cool bike though. 8-)

Funny how bikes that were unwanted years ago almost always make a comeback in the future as desirable collector bikes.I was out of the bike scene when most of the turbos came out.

I own one of each, two of the Kawasaki's, two of the Honda's.

Kawasaki GPZ750T is hands down the best, ATP Z1R-TC ain't bad, either, but needs the 750T type EFI

Yamaha is a close second, with the Honda GL650T right on same par

Suzuki is right beside full on dismal with the Honda CX500T

How Honda could build such a turd in the 500T, then, fix it so well in the 650T, is a giant mystery

How Suzuki could build such a disaster in their turbo, is just criminal

It sure looks like the same designer who did the aid scoop heads on the small Suzuki triples designed the air scoop on this one.
