Do you know that Suzuki managed to build a twin rotors and a 3 rotors engine on the same drawing, but the total unsucess of the first rotary put the whole plan on a bin.

I owned one from around 1980-1983. Mine was in excellent condition (76 model like the one pictured here) and it never failed me. It was big, heavy, with a long wheelbase. Very smooth too but nothing exciting in the performance category. Sounded just like a Mazda rotary car! I sold it to a guy that pretty well trashed it. Haven't seen one on the road in decades.

You must have missed the DG meets where they were present, Evans. That's the only place I've seen them in real life.

If we look at the front of the exhaust pipes, we see an oval grated area, This is an inlet area for air to free flow, and be forced through as the bike travels forward, over and in-between the actual muffler and it's cosmetic outer cover, to help reduce temperatures. The exhaust actually runs that hot.

Frank brought one and a Hercules rotary to the Gap through the years. Sounded really "flat", if that's a term......

You should hear one with the muffler off it, John. When people started to drag race the RX rotary Mazda cars, the sanctioning bodies literally had to make new exhaust system rules, because with the power producing exhausts, the actual exhaust pulses would make people standing near the cars sick to their stomachs. No joke.

Here's one for sale near me. Looks a little rough for the money he's asking.

And it's "showing" about 24k more miles than the ebay one, though we won't know for a couple of days what the winning bid will be.
