I came across this Suzuki today in my search for another Kawasaki. The guy I bought it from said he bought it new. It seems to all be there and is not in too bad of shape. The seat is really nice with no tears or other marks. It doesn't kick over and has a little over 5000 miles. The dark film on the engine seems to be old clearcoat. It also has a clear title. I don't have any use for it but I didn't want it to stay in the barn forever. I thought I would offer it here before I put it on Ebay. I didn't pay a lot for it so make me a decent offer and it's yours.

Nice bike! I hope you find a buyer who will take care of it.

That double-sided front brake has got to be worth a lot to somebody! (Is it the same as on the early water-bottles, you Suzuki guys?)

Yes the same as an early GT750.

I like the front brake, makes me want to build a race replica. :) I'm still trying to figure out what that coating is on the cases and heads, I think Suzuki called it bronze. Where would the tool kit be on this thing? It looks like electricals under the left cover and oil tank under the right cover and there is no room under the seat for a kit, I'm curios if it's still in here.

The coating is a clear coat, but you are correct it is a bronze color - pretty unique and hard to replicate ;) and I seem to remember that the tool kit just sits on top of the oil tank to the rear of the filler neck

Then the tool kit is gone. :( I asked the fellow why he bought the 550 instead of the 750 and he told me the 750 was just heavy for him. It seems as though the little Suzy has found a new home and it should be a good one. :D
