Hello all you triples racing gods....I have recently aquired a set of good lightly used lectron carbs from an h2...as I know only a little about the use and performance of lectron carbs I come to you with a few questions.

First what are they worth? I realy want to get a set of mikuni flatslide carbs for the bike and was thinking of using these to sell or trade for a set..does anyone think this possible?
Next what is the difference in everyday drive ability between the two? I would think the mikuni's would be a better choice for this.

Lectrons are well liked by the drag racers, but there are not a lot of them. You can look up what a new set costs (probably at fastbygast) and go from there. Some guys do run them on the street, but setting them up seems to take some time, and getting the correct needles. I did the same thing and sold the set I got. I like the Mikunis better myself, and I know them, so a lot easier for me to tune.

What size are they?

For the street, I would say 36mm or 38mm. Are these "power jet" carbs -- is there a small opening on top of the carb throat in front of the slide, that looks like a jet?

Yes it does...the float bowl has a tube the comes up the connects to the jet that goes down into the throat through that hole.

I think it scavenges raw fuel for wide-open throttle...cool.

took the bowls off and they all look realy great inside... 2 of them need a little work on the choke levers....probably going to replace with the pull out type (found on the webside for 15 bucks) if I decide not to sell them to Tim S....
havent decided just yet.... :problem:
