I redline my H2 and dump the clutch all the time. Could explain why I'm always breaking disks

Clutch or spine?

The 'approved' method -back in the day- was to stand up, bring the revs up to the desired speed. Then dump the clutch whilst applying full throttle while at the same time planting your butt on the seat.
My method was a bit different......and not as tricky.

That's what I do, Barry. Feather the throttle and clutch to try to keep the front wheel about an inch off the ground. Note the word "try".

I remember my H1 when I was a kid,I had a guy come over on his Z1 900 that wanted to race because he heard about my H1.On his Z1 he was use to just rev and let the clutch go.After we raced he told me,and I quote" you don't know how to lauch your H1".......So I said, hey lets see how good you do,take it for a spin.It was fun watching him rev, then bog the sh$t out of the H1 everytime he tried to come of the line !!!!! The H1 would just fall on its face everytime he tried to ride it like the Z1.... After he got off the bike he said "wow,I wasn't expecting that".......I just smiled !!!! It wasn't a stock Z1,if I remember right he had a kerker on it and cam work.I beat him the first race and he beat me the second race, but only by one bike lenght. I remember riding his Z1,and it was a cool bike, but nothing like the H1........If you remember from the pictures I posted on the board,my H1 had Denco stingers, stage 2 or better port work, heads cut,one up back sprocket, clip ons and 34 MNL carbs.....!!!!!! Slip baby Slip........!!!!!

Oh,and just because JA mentioned riding the clutch out in the second post of this topic, don't worry I was thinking about "Slip" before this post came up,about 2 years ago !!!!! So I win !!! Ha !!!!!
