Willow Springs coming up in a few weeks, on April 28/29.

After the first event, at Roebling, the minor issues have been fixed on the bikes.

Will be testing a new Dunlop on my H2R on Friday and making sure the A1R clutch is sticking.

Then, I hope ripping some quick laps during the races over the weekend. Looking to better the 1:33 I did on the TZ750 and the 1:34.0 on the Z1R.

Dave

Hi Dave

Finally I have my TR3 finished and will be @ Willow (Formula 500 & Formula Vintage)
Last month I got my AFM license @ Thunderhill
I have had several track day outings Chuckwalla, Willow Springs & Thunderhill
Getting more & more comfortable the more I go out, it seems to take most of the day to finally nail the line on ost of these tracks. So far I like chuckwalla & Thunderhill
See you next week I will be at practice on Friday

OK weekend, first the bad, Lorraine crashed the A1R and broke her collar bone, surgery on Thursday. The H1R went bang and broke a rod, surgery pending by Dr Scott.

Now better stuff, I worked hard on entrance into 1, speed and line in 2 and line in 9.

F250 - 2 wins beating off the Yam challenge
F500 - Bang and 2nd riding the Horney
FVintage - 2 wins, TZ750 romped
Open GP - No competition, had fun on the TZ
Superbike - 2 wins, good battle on Sat as I was running on a bad battery at 6 volts.

Another H1R on the track as well as Rob, who did well.

Dave

My first ever race weekend had many issues good & not so good
Lorraine crashing was not good, the pictures looked like she was in some sort of weird yoga position. Thankfully she will recover and be back at it
Like to thank Dave for all his support, he was desperate for coffee Friday morning so I stepped up with a Latte. Maybe that helped as he encouraged me all weekend and was always made himself avaiable
I got quicker as the weekend progressed, getting more comfortable with the track and more importantly getting to understood what the bike is capable of and what I'm capable of.
Back to the not so good. Exhaust bracket broke (had it welded by Rob North) Gas tank developed a hair line crack, Float needle got some debri in it causing gas to dump out of the puke tube
My Tr3 did run strong, only fouled one plug all day. bike is very much de-tuned at themoment so more to come in terms of performance.
I configured the bike so I can am cormfortable as I improve then I will make performance changes
Regards,
Rob

thanks again for posting Mr. Crussel. Good Stuff! And congrats.
Wishing your wifey a speedy recovery as well. Collarbones are NOT fun. Rest, Rest, Rest..let them stupid bones glue themselves back together.

Dont you feel a little "guilty" riding the T-Zed with those leathers?

LOL, you know I do. I figure the TZ is a bike with Kawasaki attitude that was made by someone else.

Also, I just look good in Green :)
